The Montana Historical Society Research Center loans newspapers on microfilm and oral history tapes to other libraries.
The Library maintains a large collection of Montana newspapers on microfilm. Almost all of the more than 20,000 reels of microfilm are available for interlibrary loan.
Oral History Tapes (excluding restricted-use tapes)
Since the 1880s, the Montana Historical Society has conducted oral history interviews with Montanans from across the state, and from various walks of life. Interviews recorded on tapes are available for loan.
A small administrative fee is charged for out-of-state shipments. Whether or not this fee is passed on to the patron is left to the discretion of the borrowing library.
